Stories inform and inspire – they can change perceptions and policies.

The stories found here give a glimpse, a feeling, for the life of a rural health care worker in Nepal. NSI collects these stories with the purpose of creating stronger worker networks, as well as to persuade policy makers.

  • Written stories come from health care worker conferences, the newsletter, and occasional contributions by partners in the field.
  • Radio stories came from the NSI program “Karmayogi Ka Kaatha’, which are docudramas taken from the actual stories of Nepali health care workers.
  • Videos are short films from NSI’s work in the field.

We encourage others to send us stories that portray the joys and challenges of the rural health care worker.
